Mitali Naik is an Indian Bharatanatyam Classical Artist, Performer, and Teacher from Goa. She is known for her distinguished performances, teaching, and contributions to Indian classical dance through performance, mentorship, and examination work in the field of Bharatanatyam.
Early Life
Mitali Naik was born on 2 May in Goa, India. She was brought up in Goa and proudly identifies herself as a Goan by heart. From a young age, she developed a deep interest in Indian classical dance and cultural traditions, which later inspired her journey in Bharatanatyam.
Education
Mitali Naik holds a Nritya Alankar in Bharatanatyam from the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal. She also earned a Master's Degree in Bharatanatyam (MPA) from Pune University. In addition, she holds academic qualifications in B.Com and LLB.
Career
Mitali Naik completed her Arangetram, a certified first professional solo recital of approximately three hours, in 2004. She received advanced training under renowned gurus including:
- Dr. Smt. Ambika Vishwanathan, former Head of Department at Nalanda University, Mumbai
- Dr. Smt. Kshitija Barve
- Kalaimamani Shri Janardhanan Aryambhat, former Principal of Kalakshetra Institute of Dance, Chennai
